How we work
We build from the base up. Not from the surface down.
Most interlock failures in Ottawa do not start at the surface. They start eight to twelve inches below it. Bad base. Skipped compaction. No drainage. Cheap edges that wash out in spring. Here is how we do it differently.
Excavation that goes deep enough.
We dig down to the depth your project needs. Driveways get more depth than walkways. Cold pockets get more depth than well-drained sites. We do not guess. We dig until the base is right.
Granular A, lift by lift, plate compacted.
We bring in proper road base, lay it down in lifts of about four inches, and run the plate compactor over each layer. That is how a base ends up actually compacted, not just looking compacted on the surface.
Slope first. Pavers second.
Before a single paver goes down, we grade the surface to move water away from your foundation, walkways, and low spots. Standing water is what kills interlock in Ottawa. Get the slope right and you fix it before it starts.

Every cut at a curve, border, or transition gets a clean line. Polymeric sand goes into the joints and gets activated under controlled mist. Edge restraints lock the whole system in. That is what keeps a driveway crisp ten winters from now.
